How to Earn Money Fast in Watch Dogs 2

In Watch Dogs 2 money is needed to purchase pretty much everything. Nothing new there then. However, Watch Dogs 2 offers plenty of ways for players to part with their cash with a variety of shops and stores available throughout San Francisco. Not only that, but if you’re looking at grabbing some weapons or gear, you’re probably going to need to 3D print them, which costs money.

Earning money in Watch Dogs 2 doesn’t have to be a chore unlike in other games, as thanks to Marcus’s hacking abilities, amongst other things, you can come across cash easier than ever before. Here are a few easy ways to earn money fast in Watch Dogs 2.

Hacking NPCs’ phones and ATMs

Watch Dogs 2 is a game all about hacking, so it only seems fitting that you’re able to commit fraud and money theft. This is the easiest way to make money as there are NPCs literally everywhere. All you have to do is walk close to an NPC and aim your cursor at them. Press L1 or LB, depending on your console, to bring up the hacking menu. From here, you can select the blue dollar symbol which will proceed to take money out of their account and deposit it into your own. You’ll be making small amounts each time, under a $100, but it all soon adds up. Head to a busy location and you could be making some serious cash for little effort.

You can also use this same trick for ATMs which can reward you with more cash.

If you want to earn some more cash from this method, the further you get into the game, you’ll be able to spend research points. You must spend some in the Social Engineering tree to unlock the Improve Profiler upgrade. Once you have it, you’re guaranteed to steal at least $400 everytime with payouts sometimes being a lot higher.

This is by far the easiest and quickest way to earn money in Watch Dogs 2.

 Locate and Take Money Bags

Another easy method is finding money bags which spawn randomly throughout the world. Some are easier to reach than others but are a great way to add extra funds to your account. The easiest ones to find and grab are the ones which aren’t in restricted areas or guarded by hostiles. Keep an eye out for a white dollar sign with a blue diamond on the mini-map as this indicates where a money bag is located.

Some money bags will be located in restricted areas and will, therefore, be guarded. It’s not always a good idea to get into a fight with a gang as they can also call reinforcements, so you either have to be prepared for a fight or try to stealth your way to the money bag. The rewards are often worth the effort though as they can give you several thousand dollars at a time, although some reward you with more than $20,000!

Sell Your Stolen Goods at Pawn Shops

Did you know that every time you steal a car Marcus will automatically grab any cash that is in the car and add it to your bank account? Not only that, but he will also take anything valuable that has been left in the car including phones, laptops, and tablets. These get added to your inventory that you can then sell at a later point.

To sell your stolen goods, go to any pawn shop. Your items will then be sold, and depending on how much tech you’ve managed to steal, it can be a very profitable trip indeed.
