How to Get More Followers Quickly in Watch Dogs 2

In Watch Dogs 2 you’re fighting to gain as many followers as possible to help DedSec take down Blume. Not only does the number of followers you have represent the popularity of your anti-establishment hacking group, it’s also needed to advance through the game and to unlock research points which level up Marcus and provide him with various new abilities.

If you’re wanting to gain more followers quickly to advance through the game and gain research points, here’s a quick guide on how to get more followers quickly in Watch Dogs 2.

How to get more followers quickly in Watch Dogs 2:

Complete Main Operations

It goes without saying, but completing the game’s main story missions, known as Main Operations, is your easiest and most reliable way to earn followers. Completing these operations will advance the story, but they also reward you with tens of thousands of followers upon completion. That’s mainly because most of your actions are aimed at helping out the little guy and exposing the corrupt corporations which will, therefore, gain support from the population, naturally.

Complete Side Operations

Just like with the main operations, an easy and consistent way of gaining followers quickly in Watch Dogs 2 is by completing side operations. These are your side quests and take less time to complete than main operations. As a result you won’t gain as many followers as you would by completing the main story missions, but you can still expect to gain thousands of followers upon completion. Not only that, but they are a great way of learning more about the world and exploring new locations!

Complete Online Operations
Online operations are another great way to get more followers in Watch Dogs 2. They are similar to side operations but often require you to just go to a location and either free a prisoner or destroy some goods. However, online operations are harder to complete as you must go to restricted areas that are heavily guarded. They can still be played solo, but the good news it that online operations are able to be completed with a partner, meaning that you can team up with another player or friend. Online operations are randomly generated and are limitless, making them great ways to gain followers.Image result for watch dogs 2
Take part in multiplayer activities

Outside of the operations there are a number of multiplayer activities that are scattered throughout San Francisco. These activities put you in the world with another player with popular activities being Bounty Hunter and Hacking Invasions. How many followers you get depends on your performance, but you are still guaranteed to gain a few thousand followers for a poor performance, whilst at the other end of the scale you can expect to gain tens of thousands.

Driver: SF and Races
If you enjoy driving, you’ll definitely want to use the Driver: SF app. Through the app you can take on driving missions which will reward you with a number of followers depending on your star rating. These typically range from a few thousand to around 11,000 followers, although you get bonus followers after certain numbers of stars. For example, reaching 50 stars will give you a bonus of 25,000 followers. Some of the driving missions are really short as well, so if you enjoy driving around San Francisco, Driver: SF missions are definitely a quick way to gain followers in Watch Dogs 2. If you’d rather drive competitively, however, then races will be right up your street. It’s pretty self explanatory really, you take part in races. That’s all there really is to it, but it will net you additional followers based on what medal you achieve as well as your time.

This is probably the most ineffective way to gain followers, but it is a great way to earn a few bonus followers if you happen to be in the right area. Essentially, all you have to do is take a picture in a location specified by the ScoutX app. You’ll receive 8,000 followers for every location you take a picture in. You can use the app to see what locations you are close to, so if you’re in the area, it would be silly not to grab 8,000 followers. However, if you’re looking for a quicker way to gain lots of followers with less effort, then we suggest using the other methods.
