Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 Release Date Pushed Back

CI Games, the development studio behind Lords of the Fallen and the Sniper: Ghost Warrior franchise, has announced a new release date of 4th April 2017 for Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 so they may further polish and optimize its upcoming game currently in development for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

CI Games has received excellent feedback from hands-on sessions with press, streamers, and fans, and as a result, is looking to offer its supporters more features in the game for launch.

“We’re making an ambitious game and unfortunately still need an extra few months to make sure it will stand up to the expectations of the fans,”

said Marek Tymiński, CEO of CI Games.

“Our goal is to ensure Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 runs smoothly on all platforms, and right now we still have some important work left on optimizing the game. This is our biggest project we’ve ever worked on and the entire team is pushing really hard to make the entire experience more polished. I really hope everyone will understand our decision and will wait the extra time to play something we’re excited about, and that will redefine our IP and the sniping genre as a whole. This is a new beginning for the Sniper: Ghost Warrior series.”

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 tells the story of brotherhood, faith, and betrayal in a land soaked in the blood of civil war. Players take on the role of an American sniper named Jonathan North who is dropped into northern Georgia near Russian borders. He has an official mission and a personal mission–to find his brother. Explore large open-world maps with dynamic weather and a day and night cycle that actually impacts play and decisions. Customize weapon equipment, accessories, vehicles and a drone, and utilize the three pillars of gameplay to your liking: Sniper, Ghost, and Warrior.

Well, such thing are happend and no one will take it as a bad fortune. CI Games wnat to be sure, that they release proper game with no 0day patches or other fixes. I think, that this is a good option.

For me it’s good news. I mean sure I’d like to play the game as soon as possible but on the other hand I don’t want any major bugs on the release date. Mafia 3 had me so hyped up and on the release date it was s***t. Hopefully CI Games will release a finished game in their own time.

That’s quite a disappointment. I was hoping to play this game sooner rather than later. Though I have to admit that @Fatty and @Clamp bring up some important issues. I also wouldn’t like to play a bugged game so maybe that’s a goodthing

Yeah OK it’s not like it is the only game in the world. I hope it’s going to be great, but in a meanwhile there’s loads of games to play. It’s normal that they had to postpone the release but it would be best if it was the last time they do that

Its not only, but still its a game, where we can play a s snipier. And only sniper. Theres no other classes. I think, that it should take long time to ensure proper quality. Making game with hurry or without hard beta tests its like shoting in head. Game will have bugs, minor problems with almost everything. Sniper is a patient solider, so we must be too:)

For me this is very bad information but honestly it not will be end of world. A lot of game is delayed now so it nothing special. I prefer wait longer and get good game than play on it now and the game will be crashed a lot. I think it can be good decision.

I prefer to play well created game than some shit somebody made in 5 minutes in rest room ;)))) So let’s hope it’s gonna be awesome.

Robert November 28, 2016 at 22:23

That’s exactly what I said 😉 Let’s be patient, we’ll receive this game at sme point. All we can do is wait.

hooker November 18, 2016 at 17:54

I can’t believe this is happening… I was waiting so long, I need to play now!! How can you do this to me?! But… what the hell, I can do nothing about it.

It sucks, sure. But don’t you guys want a good game? They want to work on it and give us something great. Not some shit.
