Dishonored 2 Sales Down 38% on Dishonored

Sales of Dishonored 2 are down 38% on its predecessor, Dishonored,  Chart-Track has revealed.

Chart-Track only records physical copies, however, so when digital sales of Dishonored 2 are taken into account, the gap between the two games will be slightly smaller, although digital sales aren’t expected to make much difference when it comes to closing the gap between the two games.

Bethesda will be disappointed that Dishonored 2 has failed to at least match the sales of the first game which launched back in 2012. Dishonored 2 has been well received on the whole, but it looks like sales may have suffered as a result of launching just weeks after some of this year’s biggest games such as Battlefield 1, Titanfall 2, and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

That’s reflected by Dishonored 2‘s placement in this week’s UK Charts where it enters at Number 4, behind Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, FIFA 17, and Battlefield 1.
