Winners Announced for First Ever Steam Awards

The Oscars, Baftas and Grammys are all prestigious awards for sure; however, as we welcome 2017 (a very happy new year to you all), we also welcome a brand new award, the Steam Awards.

Valve announced the awards back in November during their ‘Black Friday’ sale (which has to be said is a lot better than the current sale). There are twelve categories in total, and Valve have tried to add a bit of originality to their award names. There are no real surprises here, as all of these games have featured in the ‘top sellers’ list on Steam for a large part of the year.

But let’s not delay any further, Ladies and Gentleman (insert drum roll here), here are the inaugural 2017 Steam Awards Winners;

Villain Most In Need Of A Hug – Portal 2

I Thought This Game Was Cool Before It Won An Award – Euro Truck Simulator 2

Test of Time – The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Just 5 More Minutes – Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Whoooaaaaaaa, dude! – Grand Theft Auto V

I’m Not Crying, There’s Something In My Eye – The Walking Dead

Best Use Of A Farm Animal – Goat Simulator

Boom Boom – Doom

Love/Hate Relationship – Dark Souls III

Better With Friends – Left 4 Dead 2
