Battlefield V Officially Announced

EA have officially confirmed the title of Battlefield V on Twitter and announced the Live Reveal on May 23rd:

All of the key information on Battlefield V will be detailed at the reveal. It will be co-hosted by comedian and passionate gamer Trevor Noah, who will give us the rundown on what we can expect from the game with the EA DICE team.

We don’t know much about the upcoming first-person shooter yet, but EA have given us some information on the Battlefield website:

”It’s a brand-new experience and still everything you love about Battlefield – where every fight is different and brought to life across unexpected theatres of war. Discover the new challenges that will change war forever.”

The 15th entry to the Battlefield series will feature a new setting which will be revealed on the 23rd. Many are expecting it to take place in World War II.

Continued from Battlefield site:

”Battlefield 1 gave players the definitive World War 1 experience that brought the dawn of all-out war to life. But the next Battlefield happens on another frontline. The live reveal will give players the first look at DICE’s immersive portrayal of the new setting.”

Battlefield V will feature the popular single-player campaign known as War Stories, which was introduced in Battlefield 1, along with a dedicated co-op mode and a strong large-scale multiplayer experience. The fan-favourite online mode Operations will also return. It’s also been reported that DICE were experimenting with a Battle Royale prototype for the new title. This won’t come as a surprise to many people considering the recent success of the genre with Fortnite and PUBG.

You can watch the Battlefield V Live Reveal May 23rd on YouTube, Twitch and Mixer.

We’ll keep you posted will all the key information next week, so stay tuned to Gaming Respawn.
