Fallout 76: Wild Appalachia Update Delayed

Bethesda has announced that the upcoming update for Fallout 76 will not release today as originally planned as they need a little extra time to get it ready.

However, fans won’t have to wait too much longer for the Fallout 76: Wild Appalachia update as Bethesda has only delayed its release by a day, meaning the expansion will now be available on all platforms on March 13th.

In a tweet on Twitter, Bethesda announced that they had pushed back the release of the update on all platforms as they need “a little more time to brew”.

The Wild Appalachia update kicks off Bethesda’s spring season of updates with new features, modes, and quests set to be added to the game over the next few months.

Some of the new things coming to the game through the Wild Appalachia update include features such as brewing and distilling, which will allow players to craft their own alcoholic beverages that they can consume. These consumables will provide players with some small buffs, although drinking too much will result in some negative effects, including hangovers.

Looking a little further ahead, Bethesda is set to release a special timed event next week with a new survival mode for Fallout 76 also on its way at the end of March. New questlines, vendors, and items are also set to be added between now and May.

When Fallout 76 first released in November 2018, it wasn’t well received by the gaming community as a whole. However, these latest updates and roadmap from Bethesda show that they are committed at least to turning the game around. Though whether or not these updates will be enough to bring players back and to keep existing players interested remains to be seen.
