List of Xbox One backwards compatibility games revealed

With backwards compatibility heading to Xbox One this Thursday, November 12th, Microsoft has revealed the list of which Xbox 360 games will be the first to be backwards compatible on the Xbox One.

A total of 104 games from the Xbox 360 days will be playable on the Xbox One, including the likes of Assassin’s Creed 2, Fable 2, Mirror’s Edge as well as Mass Effect. Other stand out games include Just Cause 2 and the Gears of War franchise. However there a number of big games missing from the list which were heavily requested from gamers in the run up to this update including Red Dead Redemption and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

New games which will be backwards compatible will be announced on a regular basis state Microsoft, with the next announcement coming in December. Some of the games which have been confirmed to be released on the Xbox One in the future include “Halo Reach,” “Halo Wars,” “Call of Duty®: Black Ops 1,” “Bioshock,” “Bioshock 2,” “Bioshock Infinite,” and “Skate 3.”
