Mass Effect Andromeda making its way onto Xbox One, PS4 & PC in 2016

Mass Effect Andromeda has been announced by EA as the next installment in the hugely popular Mass Effect series. Andromeda will be available during the holiday period 2016 and will make its way onto Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Andromeda will take place long after the events of the original trilogy and will transport players to an all-new galaxy, Andromeda. As with the other Mass Effect games, players will be able to create their own character which will be a human, male or female. Bioware promises a new team of adventurers to work alongside, learn from, fight with and to fall in love with.

The game is also built on the Frostbite engine, with the trailer representing what the developers aim for Andromeda to look like come launch.

“We built this trailer in Frostbite™, our game engine, and it represents our visual target for the final game”, stated BioWare in a blog post.

“We are thrilled by what we’ve already been able to achieve in bringing Mass Effect to Frostbite and by putting our entire focus on PC and current gen consoles. With the time remaining in development, we’re excited about the possibility to push things even more.”
